Although a newly founded company, G.M EUROCY INNOVATIONS LTD has presented a quick penetration in the market, building on its founders’ experience European-wide. Members of the company have successfully contributed to large commercial software projects of the public sector, as well as, to European research activities. Moreover, the company implements a number of self-motivated projects to leverage social innovation and build the ground to successfully meeting its strategic objectives.

The following comprise an indicative list of projects in which we have been involved as initiators and coordinators or as key contributors:

  • NARNIA–New Archaeological Research Network for Integrating Approaches to ancient material studies: An interdisciplinary FP7-People, Marie Curie Action, the main objective of which is to provide young researchers with the means to conduct research on ancient Eastern Mediterranean material culture and to develop their analytical skills through a series of research and training activities.
  • ViPi- Virtual Portal for Impaired Groups Interaction: a project partially funded by the European Union under the Lifelong Learning Programme 2007–2013, subprogramme KA3 ICT. The project commenced on 1st January 2011 and has 36 months duration (until 31st December 2013). The main vision of the project is to provide alternative and creative solutions for the employment of People with Disabilities (PwD) by delivering a “one-stop-shop” interactive portal and learning environment comprising: 1) a multilingual platform, 2) an embedded social community, 3) accessible content (WCAG 2.0) for PwD and trainers, etc. Additional information can be found in the project’s website, as well as, in the relevant Wikipedia article.
  • SYMMETEXO: An eGovernment and eInclusion project that commenced in January 2009, focusing on the design, development and maintenance of a social-oriented forum through which targeted topics will be discussed by experts and, subsequently, the general public. The produced unstructured information will be analysed and the produced knowledge will be put in reports to be delivered to the related governmental departments, thus supporting their decision making process.
  • CY-AgroCOOP: The project will implement a communication and collaboration platform for the stakeholders of the Cooperative Organisations of Cyprus, active in the Agriculture field (namely farmers, traders, cooperative organisations’ employees, general public). Communities will be built to allow the dissemination of useful information and the exchange of knowledge. The expected result is the training of all involved members so as to achieve higher quality and positive impact for all stakeholders and more significantly, the end-consumers of the traded products.
  • i-Inclusion Platform: The project aims at building an Internet-based social network of people with different types of “disabilities” (as defined by the current status and limitation of our society) that will allow them participate in discussions, share interests and knowledge, primarily aiming at creating the necessary skills for inclusion in specific working environments. The i-Inclusion Platform will involve also an i-Learning environment, enhanced with semantically organised and provided of information and knowledge.
  • Travel Agencies: Online Excursions Reservation and Management System: G.M EUROCY INNOVATIONS LTD has developed an online reservation and management system for Travel Agencies. The system is already successfully adopted by the UTR SA, Rethymnon (2008), in Crete, Greece. The Online Excursions Reservation and Management System was developed to serve the B2B needs of tour operators organising excursions. It is a comprehensive online system allowing tour operators to offer online bookings and ticketing for their excursions, central management and real-time information. It features:
    - Online bookings and instant ticket printout
    - Transfer lists
    - Busses/Guides management
    - Multilingual online excursion programme
    - Invoicing
    - Statistical information
    - Profit analysis
    and many more time-saving possibilities.
  • Web sites and Web portals: G.M EUROCY INNOVATIONS LTD undertakes also the implementation of Web sites and Web portals for small and medium enterprises, as well as, for other types of public and private organisations. Our key competitive advantage is the fact that we are not only technicians; we rather invest time in understanding our customers’ needs and providing high quality consultancy. In addition, we offer a very good value for money trade-off due to our using of Open Source technologies and Open Standards in our developments. We have also a number of ongoing projects for the development of Web portals in the Health domain and also i-Commerce sites.
  • Research & Development initiatives: The company is contributing as a full partner in research initiatives in cooperation with the Department of Archaeology of the University of Cyprus, as well as, in eLearning and eInclusion projects in cooperation of Universities and Industrial organisations European-wide. Beyond this, we are very interested in applications of intelligent agents and sensors in the control of complex systems; currently we are in the process of discussing towards forming proposals for the Framework Programme of European Commission but also for the European Defense Agency.
