The ViPi (Virtual portal for Impaired GrouPs Interaction) project has been finally evaluated as successful and will be launched on 1st January 2011. The project will be coordinated by STEFICON SA and PhoenixKM and will be implemented in cooperation with other European organisations.
ViPi aims to provide a one-stop-shop (fully accessible and Open Source) interactive portal and learning environment to people with disabilities.
G.M EUROCY INNOVATIONS LTD will support the implementation of the Web portal and will bring to the project its knowledge on semantic content management and interoperability. In addition, EUROCY will build a network of Cyprus organisations representing people with disabilities, and will follow up with them, so as to keep them informed of the progress of the work, and also train them on the results. The organisations will have the chance to participate in the pilot testing phase of the project, thus being the first to gaining access to this European-wide portal.
